After sending them a few photo`s & short video of the door problem, Alice in the office gave me a quote with a minimum & maximum price including labour & travel, so we knew exactly how much the cost would be if the door needed any replacement parts. After a deposit was transferred, Next Doors Ltd emailed with a slot at 24 hours later for the works, & the engineer texted me in the morning with an ETA on site. The door had the necessary work done & the whole job was completed in 90 minutes. This is the second time we have used Next Doors Ltd, & now we have a properly functioning front door to our restaurant. We would definitely use Next Doors again, & also recommend them to anyone else, absolutely first class. Fino Restaurant Bognor Regis PO22 6AA.

It has not been opening properly for over a year now but we did not want to go back to the original installer.  We researched Next Doors and Emma and Joe were very prompt at responding to my queries regarding a site visit. They sent a wonderful engineer along, called Bill, who was very knowledgeable, helpful and professional.  He was very thorough and took the time to fix every detail of the door and explain to me what should be happening and why.  (It had never been installed correctly by the original installer).  My boss was overjoyed that finally our door is fixed!!  Now if we ever have another issue we will 100% be back in touch with Next Doors as they definitely get the job done to a high standard. We are a primary school in SE1 and they are happy to make the journey up to us for what must be one of their smaller jobs.  Their engineers have always been professional and have a good working knowledge of our system.  They carry out their work to a high standard and don't charge exorbitant rates for doing so. My automatic door opens and closes repeatedly with no one nearby — what causes this?

This is typically caused by sensor misalignment, reflection from nearby surfaces, or movement detected within the sensor range (like swaying signage or plants). Check for reflective surfaces or motion near the entrance and reposition the sensor if needed. Faulty or overly sensitive sensors may also need replacing or recalibrating.

The door is moving slower than usual — is that a sign of a fault?

Yes, slow operation could indicate wear on the drive belt, resistance from the track, low motor power, or even software settings being out of calibration. It's also important to check for physical obstructions or lack of lubrication. The door could have also had a collision or thing it has had a collision - If not addressed, slow operation can lead to more serious mechanical failures.

One of the sliding doors isn’t moving, but the other is — what’s wrong?

This may be due to a disconnected or failed drive arm, an issue with the guide rail, or an obstruction preventing travel. It’s also possible that the motor is driving one leaf while the other is disengaged.
