Automatic Sliding Door
at Woodlands Garden Centre

Single Sliding Automatic Door
Woodlands Garden Centre, a busy café inside a modern and thriving garden centre, was using a domestic-grade UPVC door system that was unsuitable for the high-traffic environment. The existing door did not provide adequate disabled access, was not user-friendly, and struggled to cope with the large volume of foot traffic the café experienced. The café needed a more reliable, efficient, and accessible solution that could handle the demands of the business.
To address these issues and provide a solution that met both functional and aesthetic needs, we proposed the following:
Commercial-Grade Aluminium Shop Front System
- We designed and manufactured a new commercial-guide aluminium shop front system to replace the existing UPVC doors. This system was built to handle high pedestrian traffic ensuring a long-lasting, reliable solution that could withstand daily use in a busy environment.
Large Single Sliding Automatic Door
- The aluminium system incorporated a large single sliding automatic door, which was designed for smooth and silent operation. The automatic door was specifically chosen to accommodate a wide variety of users, ensuring easy access for everyone, including those with disabilities.
- Built-in electronic locking provided enhanced security, and the safety pocket door system added an additional layer of safety, preventing accidents and ensuring that the door was always functional.
Improved Pedestrian Flow
- The new sliding automatic door made the entrance significantly more user-friendly, improving pedestrian flow and making it much easier for staff and customers to move in and out of the cafe. The fast and reliable operation of the door allowed for a much higher footfall, catering to the bustling nature of the cafe while reducing waiting time for customers.
Internal Dividing Glazed Screen
- Ti improve customer comfort, especially during colder months, we added an internal dividing glazed screen. This feature helped reduce wind and chill from entering the cafe, providing a more comfortable dining environment for customers and enhancing the cafe’s energy efficiency.
Bespoke Graphics for Custom Branding
- To add a personalised touch and reflect the cafe’s brand, we included bespoke graphics on the glass panels fo the doors. This customisation helped create a sleek, modern, and stylish look that aligned with the cafe’s branding while maintaining a professional appearance.
The new commercial-grade aluminium shop front system, along with the large single sliding automatic door, drastically improved both the functionality and aesthetics of the café’s entrance. The automatic door system enhanced accessibility, accommodating customers with disabilities and streamlining foot traffic. The internal glazed screen added comfort for dining customers, while the bespoke graphics gave the café a distinctive, professional appearance. This upgrade allowed the café to handle higher volumes of customers with ease and efficiency, improving the overall customer experience and supporting the growth of the business.
