Aluminium Automatic Bi-Parting Sliding Door

MTS’s office block had external UPVC doors leading to a tight inner lobby with manual glass doors. The limited space in the lobby created challenges with the existing door setup, as the manual doors required room to swing open. The customer needed a solution that was more space-efficient and user-friendly while maintaining a professional appearance.

We designed, supplied and installed two sets of bi-parting sliding doors – one for the external entrance and one for the inner lobby. This configuration eliminated the need for doors to swing open, maximising the use of the small lobby space. The bi-parting sliding doors also provided a modern, sleek aesthetic, improving functionality and creating a more efficient flow for both staff and visitors.

Benefits of the New Door Setup

  • Space Efficiency: Sliding doors eliminated door swing, maximising the tight lobby area.
  • Improved Flow: Bi-parting sliding doors facilitated a seamless transition between the external entrance and the inner lobby.
  • Professional Appearance: Sleek, modern doors enhanced the building’s aesthetic.
  • Convenience: Automatic operation improved accessibility for all users.
  • Energy Efficiency: The double sliding door configuration helped minimise heat loss and maintained a comfortable lobby temperature.

This project transformed the office block entrance into a functional, space-saving and modern environment tailored to the customer’s needs.
