By using 17 lamination layers made from Kerto laminated veneer lumber, these doors have been designed to ensure they have extra solidity to its timber core. This solid timber core has a unique moisture barrier system that prevents moisture build-up, helping to protect the door from bowing, warping or swelling. The door slab has a bowing tolerance of just 3 millimetres. This means that if your door were to bow even slightly, we would replace your door slab free of charge.
Our doors are one of the heaviest doors on the market, making them the sturdiest and most secure composite door.
The composite door has a unique moisture barrier system that prevents moisture build-up, which helps to protect the solid timber core from bowing, warping or swelling.
Many other brands of composite doors provide a core that is made from soft timber or even a high density polyurethane foam. These cores can be enough in providing your home with a solid, durable door. However, with a softer core, the door is automatically more vulnerable to break-ins.

“Andy came out and surveyed my existing door, he took me through the many choices available from Endurance. I chose an Enta as it has a similar design to what I already have however need to replace my current due to it being old and failing. I’m amazed as the different in security and the quality of my new door. It has a solid timber core and a high security lock. The door is extremely sturdy and I am thrilled with the entire experience. The 10-year guarantee also gives me great peace of mind.”
We had a gentleman who buys about ten doors a month who was having problems with a different manufacturer. The last eight out of ten doors that were delivered had a 6mm bow in the slab and he was having issues with the manufacturer addressing the issue. I recommended the door design because its inherent strength would prevent this from happening. Also, we have had a great level of service and any issues have always been addressed immediately. It’s fantastic to have that level of support.”
“5 Stars all round! Really happy with the whole experience. The quality of the door is exceptional, as was the service from Phil Homans for the installation and after sales service. Overall a real 5 Star experience.”
A Composite Front Door is made up from a variety of materials, which can include uPVC, wood, insulating foam and glass reinforced plastic. When combining these materials together effectively, a strong and highly secure composite door is created. However, the wrong combination of material, or low quality materials will create an inferior door. Composite doors vary across the industry, and no two composite doors are the same.
A Solidor composite door also has a solid timber core, but is made up of far fewer wooden layers. This coupled with the lack of a moisture barrier strip in the bottom of the door makes a Solidor more susceptible to both bowing and warping. Solidor composite doors have been firmly established in the industry offering a composite door that is unlike others for their sophistication and performance. However, after looking into Solidor’s reviews, we found a mixture of both good and bad reviews, mounting to an average rating of 3 stars on their Trustpilot page.
