Custom Aluminium Porch
A SEN secondary school needed an extension to their existing building to create a more spacious reception area and improve security. The current setup included a small reception area adjacent to the main office, which was insufficient for their growing needs.
To meet the school’s requirements, we implemented the following comprehensive solution:
Custom-Built Aluminium Porch System
- We designed and manufactured a contemporary aluminium porch system off-site, allowing for quick assembly on-site. This system featured a modern composite roof tile and commercial-grade double-glazed units.
- A commercial-grade automatic entrance swing door was installed to provide full disabled access, ensuring the entrance was both user-friendly and inclusive.
Complete Fit-Out Service
- The entire extension, from floors to ceilings, was completed by our team. This included high-quality finishes and fixtures to ensure durability and aesthetic appeal.
Internal office Extension with Serving Window
- An extension from the main office was constructed, divided by a serving window, allowing staff to communicate with visitors without compromising the limited space in the main office.
New Internal and External Doors
- A secure steel entrance door with a vision panel was installed internally, connecting the new extension to the main corridor.
- The automatic swing door was complemented by a new stainless steel handrail system along the external ramp, enhancing safety for disabled visitors and preventing falls from the ramp edge.
Solar Control Window Film
- To manage internal temperatures, solar control window film was applied to the extensive glass surfaces, ensuring a comfortable environment regardless of external weather conditions.
The project delivered a secure, modern, and accessible reception area that greatly improved the school’s functionality and visitor experience. The bespoke design provided additional security and accessibility while maintaining a sleek and professional appearance. The quick assembly and high-quality materials ensured minimal disruption and long-term durability.
