Servicing, Maintenance & Repairs of Automatic Doors
Automatic doors and Drive Thru windows are under constant use and may suffer from accidental damage or wear and tear. We understand how frustrating it can be when your automatic doors break down. Next Doors are passionate about the safety of automatic doors, which is why we recommend a regular service to be the best way to ensure smooth operating, reducing down-time and to keep faults to a minimum.
Did you know that it is a legal requirement that all automatic doors and shutters be serviced at least once a year?
Maintenance is essential to comply with non-statutory regulations governing the safe operation of door systems. Under current BS EN 16005:2012, to meet all requirements, a service should be undertaken within 6 months of new installations on a rolling basis. Should your installation be approximately 10 years plus, an annual service will suffice.
If you fail to maintain and repair automatic doors, you could be in trouble as an employer for not providing a safe working environment to your employees and you can also invalidate your premises insurance. If a customer becomes injured because of an ill functioning automatic door, you could also be charged and taken to court.
All our engineers are ADSA 7036 qualified to make sure your doors are fully functional, safe and legal for public use, we are able to service any make of automatic door. From one-off service visits to yearly service plans, we can ensure your doors are in perfect working condition or provide a quote to remedy the issues as fast as possible. As a result of regular maintenance your equipment’s lifespan is extended, faults are found at an earlier stage and this can in turn save you from a more expensive bill later on.
