High Security Steel Door
McDonald’s Yorkshire Grey, a high-turnover commercial fast food restaurant, was struggling with an aged and dilapidated rear goods entrance. The existing door and frame system was not only insecure and unreliable, but it was also difficult to use and prone to damage. The restaurant required a solution that could withstand high traffic and daily wear and tear.
To address these issues, we proposed the following solution:
Commercial-Grade Secure Steel Door and Frame
- We replaced the old system with a commercial-grade secure steel door and frame that was designed to provide robust security while being easy to use for restaurant staff.
- The steel door system was built to withstand frequent use and abuse, particularly the impact of large food delivery cages that are commonly used in the restaurant’s daily operations.
Custom Heavy Duty Pyramid Bumper Bar System
- To protect the door from the constant impact of delivery cages, we incorporated a custom-designed heavy duty pyramid bumper bar system. This added an extra layer of protection, significantly increasing the lifespan and durability of the door.
Digital Keypad for Secure Access
- A digital keypad was installed externally, allowing the door to remain security closed and locked when not in use. This feature gave staff east access from the outside while helping to maintain security and prevent rodent entry by keeping the door tightly closed.
Modern Digital Video Door Entry System
- A modern digital video door entry system was integrated, allowing staff to see exactly who is outside when trade visitors push the buttons. This system improved visitor security and communication by linking to the staff in the kitchen area, ensuring only authorised individuals were granted access.
The installation of the secure steel door system, combined with the heavy-duty bumper bar and advanced access features, significantly improved the security, functionality, and durability of the restaurant’s rear goods entrance. The digital keypad and video entry system enhanced both staff access and security, while the added protection ensured the door system could withstand the high use and occasional abuse typical in a fast food environment. The customer now enjoys a reliable, secure, and user-friendly entrance that meets the demands of their busy restaurant.
